LuCiD Centre Manager
A bit about Helen Allwood
I have a undergraduate degree in English from the University of Birmingham, with an exchange year at University of British Columbia in Vancouver. After graduating, I worked in project and grant management in the sports industry, before taking these skills to the higher education sector at the UCL Institute for Global Health.
Prior to joining LuCiD, I was Assistant Manager of the Malaria Capacity Development Consortium at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). Whilst working at LSHTM, I completed a part time MSc in Information Science at University College London. I joined LuCiD and the University of Manchester in September 2014. I am proud to be a governor at Lark Hill Nursery School in Edgeley, Stockport.
My Role in LuCiD
I oversee the day to day operations of the Centre and coordinate the impact and communications strategy. I'm based in Manchester, but provide support across the LuCiD network.
