The Role of Child-Directed-Speech in the Acquisition of Morphosyntax. This PhD project, co-supervised by Prof. Julian Pine at University of Liverpool and Prof. Caroline Rowland at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in the Netherlands, will focus on analysing the informativeness of the input that children receive in at least two different cultures/languages, and the role of this input in the acquisition of morphosyntax. The project will involve analysing naturalistic data from spontaneous interactions between caregivers and children, and testing children in the lab using different behavioural experimental methods.
