Who We Are

The ESRC International Centre for Language and Communicative Development (LuCiD) is a research collaboration working with partners from across the world to transform our understanding of how children learn to communicate with language.

The LuCiD team includes researchers and PhD students from Lancaster University, the University of Liverpool and the University of Manchester investigating key research questions about language development. They are supported by colleagues from our international partners in Europe, the US and Australia.

This video captures short interviews with LuCiD colleagues, offering insights into their experiences within the LuCiD community. With footage from the 2024 Conference, it showcases the collaborative spirit of the network and the significance of the research being conducted.
