A bit about Grégoire Vergotte
Before taking up my current role within the LuCiD Centre in July 2020, at the University of Liverpool, I completed my PhD at the EuroMov laboratory (University of Montpellier, France) where I investigated the dynamic functional organisation of the brain using functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) in a sensory motor task. I then moved to Institut Superieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace (Toulouse, France), where I studied the brain synchronisation between two subjects to better understand the cooperation processes and connectivity analysis using electroencephalography (EEG).
My role in LuCiD
Together with Dr Brusini (Lead) and Dr Ferry, I’m working on the Understanding the neural processes involved in word learning in typically developing children and children with DLD work package. The aim of our project is to better understand the brain organisation involved during a speech segmentation task. We will use online testing as well as in lab experiments using EEG in adults and children with and without DLD.
