The LuCiD Seminar Series launched in November 2014 and invites language experts from across the world, as well as leading researchers from the Centre, to share their research.
Seminars cover a range of topics linked to language acquisition, including the role sleep plays in language learning, how children adapt to cross-linguistic and socio-cultural variation and how a child’s environment affects their language learning.
Our seminars take place monthly, alternating between the three collaborating North West universities.
The next seminar will be presented by Dr Jelena Mirkovic from the University of York on learning grammar from word meaning and sound. This will be held from 12.00-13.30 on Tuesday 14 April in room LT3, Rendall Building, University of Liverpool.
Seminars are open to anyone wishing to attend. Full details of upcoming seminars will be posted on the LuCiD events page.
